On Wednesday morning September 13, 2023, The New MaeSot Clinic was dedicated and began serving Burmese refugees. Kent Odor the Board Chairman of Asia Christian Services led the dedication ceremony.
The Clinic is in a Christian village of Burmese refugees. The Clinic was made well and will serve hundreds for many years to come. It had two rooms with two bathrooms. The room on the left will have a small office and space for a few beds for overnight patients. The room on the right has the check-in desk and an examination room with medicines. It was great!
Dr. Thundar opened the clinic after the dedication and saw 59 patients (some families) that afternoon.
Two thirds of the patients were from outside the village! This location will be fantastic as the village and the church members can provide additional outreach and follow up to refugee patients who come to the clinic.
Thank you F.A.M.E. (Fellowship of Associates of Medical Evangelism) for the grant to build the Clinic and to the donors who provided the funding. We are very grateful!
